Divided: Big Brother
The Format
The format is very similar to style of play of the Big Brother (US). Each week the houseguests compete for power. There are two competitions weekly: Head of Household and Power of Veto. The Head of Household (HoH) competition determines who will be in control for the week. The winner of the HoH competition will nominate two houseguests up for eviction. Following the Nomination ceremony, the Head of Household, the two nominees, and three randomly drawn hosueguests will compete in the Power of Veto competition. The winner of the Golden Power of Veto will have chance to exercise his/her right to veto one of the Head of Household's nominations. If the Power of Veto is used then the Head of Household must name a replacement nominee and the eviction ensues. If the Power of Veto is not used then the nominations remain the same and the eviction ensues. The nominee who has the highest number of votes against him/her will be evicted. If there is a tie, the Head of Household will cast his the tie-breaking vote. Twists are subject to change the format.
The Rules and Guidelines
The rules that follow this paragraph are meant to followed. All rules are placed for fairness to you, your peers in the game, and I, the Host. If any rules are broken, you will be issued warnings and penalties, or subject to removal. Thank you for reading the rules and guidelines page.
- Absence: if you're absent from the game more than 48 hours without notice, you'll be subject to removal. If you're leaving for vacation/having limited access please send a message via PM or make an announcement in the Living Room.
- AIM: an alias screenname with your characters name is required.
- Alias: this game will be ALIAS, so please do not share your identify or pry on someone else for his/her identify.
- Ceremonies/Competitions: the competitions will either be 24 hours to complete or LIVE. If a competition is LIVE, I'll send a notice with a time poll. The HoH and Veto holder will have 24 hours to make a decision (on Nominations and the Veto ceremony). If the HoH does not make his/her nominations, he/she will be dethroned and the 2nd place participant (in the HoH competition) will serve as the the reigning HoH. If the Veto holder does not make a decision then the 2nd place participant (in the PoV competition) will be the Veto holder.
- Cheating: Any form of cheating is not acceptable. If you're caught cheating you'll be removed from the game immediately. This includes: photoshopping any scores/votes, printscreening your vote, etc. If you're unsure if something qualifies as cheating, ask me before you do it.
- Diary Room: I expect you to participate and post in your Diary Room. You will complete most of the competitions in your own person Diary Room. The Diary Room is also where you cast your eviction vote. Do not reveal any information from your Diary Room.
- Jury: the jury will vote on one winner at the end of the season.
- Participation: I beg you to only apply if you're willing to participate in the game by completing the competitions, casting yours votes, and post in your Diary Room. If you do not participate in competitions and evictions, you are subject to removal. I'll give warnings if your participation (missing competitions, evictions) is becoming an issue.
- Twist: twists are subject to change format.
